a calmer, happier family life

Parenting Is Hard. You’re Not Alone.

Parenting is one of the most meaningful—and most challenging—roles we take on. But without an instruction manual, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed or stuck when difficulties arise. These struggles can create tension and disrupt the balance of your entire family dynamic.

That’s where parent coaching comes in. Together, we’ll identify the root causes of your challenges, break unhelpful patterns, and lay the groundwork for a calmer, more connected family life.

Whether you’re navigating ongoing issues or simply need support through a tough season, I’m here to help you move toward a stronger, more resilient family connection.

FAQs

Why should you work with me?

I’m not only a professional with a background in child development, counselling and coaching but I’m also a mom. I understand firsthand the emotional ups and downs of parenting. I know how kids and teens think and behave, and I also get how easily parents can feel overwhelmed or triggered by their child’s actions. This blend of professional expertise and personal experience gives me a holistic perspective. It allows me to quickly identify the root causes of family conflict and help you create real, lasting change at home.

Can I work with you even if I don’t live in BC?

Yes, absolutely. However, if you require sessions to be covered by insurance, please note that this is only possible for clients residing in BC.

If you’re not using insurance, it doesn’t matter where in the world you live, as sessions are held online. We just need to find a time that works for both of us. I’m located in the Pacific Standard Time (PST) zone.

What are common issues you address?

I work with families facing a wide range of challenges, including difficult or disruptive behaviour, differences in parenting styles, and communication struggles between parents and children. I also support families navigating major life changes such as loss, separation, illness, or moving homes or schools. In addition, I have experience working with neurodiverse children and those experiencing attachment difficulties.

How long and how often do I work with you?

Most parents work with me for about 4 to 6 sessions.

You don’t need to meet with me weekly. However, it’s often helpful to start with 2 to 3 weekly sessions, followed by bi-weekly or monthly sessions. This spacing allows you time to apply and reflect on the strategies we discuss.

I also offer long-term support through ongoing monthly or quarterly sessions, as well as email support, depending on your needs.

What are your fees and how do I pay?

My fees vary depending on the type of support or program we decide is the best fit for your needs.

I offer a sliding scale for families who may find the full fee a barrier—please don’t hesitate to ask for more information.

Payment is requested before we begin working together and can be made via bank transfer or e-transfer. Instalment plans are also available if needed.
